Well we decided we needed to make up for the fact we have missed out on the Isle of Wight festival and Glastonbury this year due to being out here. So we searched around to see what gigs were going on near us in the next few months. We found a few local gigs, like Gwen Steffani at Mountain View, but decided we weren’t really big enough fans to see her. Then we discovered Snow Patrol were touring the States and looked about to see where they were going to be. The nearest place was LA, we ummed and arrred about it for a while, but decided sod it, why not?!!! So we found out when tickets were going on sale and made sure we were online straight away, managed to get 2 tickets pretty close to the stage. Next juob was to book a hotel, so we can spend a couple of nights there. We looked at Travel Lodge’s and Quality Inns but decided if we were going to LA, we should stay somewhere much nicer, besides it’s only for 2 nights! We have booked a room at the Hollywood Roosevelt, right in the heart of Hollywood, if you take a look at the website it looks fabulous. We are both really excited about going to LA and seeing Snow Patrol, definitely something we have to do seeing as we are only 5 hours down the road, and in US terms that’s like Bournemouth to Southampton!!
