So Ian has been staying with us this week which has been fab! I have even been driving the car, now that I have my new licence!

This weekend we booked a trip to Alcatraz, we went in to San Francisco this week and went to the Golden Gate Bridge and did some touristy things too.

Alcatraz was fab, it was really interesting although it was brimming with tourists which kind of took away from that feeling of being so isolated and locked in on the rock.

I really can’t imagine being locked up there, especially in solitary, it must have driven people insane, literally.

It was definitely amazing though to go inside the cells and see how prisoners had to live.
